Happy new year everyone, from all of us here at DWP! We just thought we'd let you all know what DWP have been up and also what we have planned for 2010.
Whilst sitting at home on the couch struck down with the horrible flu, I recieved some awesome news. One of my photographs had been selected as a finalist in the annual Community Newspapers of Australia - Southern Division Awards for excellence.
As we reported a few weeks back, DWP made the trek down to Margaret River to shoot local band Tame Impala during their last days recording their debut album. We're please to announce, that not only did we score a nice spread inside, but also the front cover!
DWP recently had the privilege
of spending some time with one of the country's next big musical exports Tame Impala, as the boys put the finishing touches on their highly anticpated debut album.
I'm sure by now you have all seen the state's newest street press mag The Wire, which is free every Thursday in the West Australian. But have you noticed whose taking those amazing live shots? That's right, DWP!
As part of our work with SMP, DWP were on hand to cover all the action of the forth and fifth day's of the test match between Australia and South Africa. Following the Protea's historic win, our images were used in heap of South African newspapers.
DWP kicked 2009 off with a bang! For the third year in a row we had the honour of covering We spent two days every angle of the state's most popular music festival Southbound.
The Peel region's top businesses were honoured on Saturday night and our photographers were on hand to capture all the action of the ALCOA Business Excellence Awards.
As a one eyed Fremantle Dockers member, I was excited about meeting and photographing some of the clubs 'young guns' for the official Fremantle Football Club magazine.

DWP are now shooting for Queensland based sports media publishing company SMP Images. We've already shot a number of top sporting events including the West Coast Fever state netball team and the Australian Boomers clash with Iran.
As part of our working relationship with festival promoters Sunset Events, we were again asked to take on the ‘official photography’ duties for this years West Coast Blues and Roots festival.
