As part of our work with SMP, DWP were on hand to cover all the action of the forth and fifth day's of the test match between Australia and South Africa. Following the Protea's historic win, our images were used in heap of South African newspapers.
Don't get me wrong, I love my cricket and I'm a supporter of test cricket. But when you see an amazing photo from a cricket match, just spare a thought for the photographer and how much work has gone into that one shot. Despite cheering for the Aussie's, I was hoping for a South African upset, because I knew it meant I'd get more photo's printed. It turned out that they did win and DWP had photographs printed on the front page, back page and in the sports pages of a heap of South Africian newspapers. I know for most Aussie males, being paid to watch cricket for two days would sound like a dream. But it's not! Shooting cricket is boring! You have to shoot every ball and there's a lot of them in a test match.
