In the studio with Tame Impala

DWP recently had the privilege of spending some time with one of the country's next big musical exports Tame Impala, as the boys put the finishing touches on their highly anticpated debut album.

We joined the band on location at a beach house in the states South West where they have been holed up for the last 2 months, recording and mixing their the new album.

Joined by Steph from The Wire and Pat from Universal Music, we ventured out to the Wave House Studio at Injidup Bay to hang out with the guys, listen to some of the new material and shoot them for an upcoming cover story.

In over a decade of shooting live music and bands, it was one of the best experiences I had. Kevin, Jay and Dom welcomed us into their home for the past 8 weeks and were a pleasure to deal with.

Obviously we can't let you see the pics yet, but when the story goes to print we'll be sure to let you know. In the meantime we recommend that you check these guys out - www.myspace.com/tameimpala or www.tameimpala.com
