Happy new year everyone, from all of us here at DWP! We just thought we'd let you all know what DWP have been up and also what we have planned for 2010. At the start of 2009, we decided to stop taking booking for weddings. Mainly due to the massive workload coming from Daniel's media commitments and also the huge amount of freelance work. Whilst this isn't likely to change any time soon, DWP are more than happy to take enquires in regards to wedding photography. You may have seen Daniel's byline in the Sunday Times last year?? He's been lucky enough to secure regular casual shifts with the newspaper, in the hope to gain some much needed "major" newspaper experience. So far the highlights have been shooting Perth Glory, Perth Wildcats, numerous WAFL games, the Hopman Cup Ball, West Coast Eagles Football Club's awards night and also the New Years Eve celebrations in Northbridge. Daniel's also been flat out most weekend's covering most of the state's biggest music festivals and concerts. Working for the weekly music publication The Wire, local promoters and also national magazines, he's recently had the opportunity to shoot the likes of the Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Marilyn Manson, Brooks and Dunn, Wolfmother, Kings of Leon and heaps more. As well covering festivals like Southbound, West Coast Blues and Roots, Summadayze, Good Vibrations, Ruaggmuffin and many more. DWP will again be the official photographer in Western Australia for AFL Photos, which means we'll be at premiership and pre-season game, trainings, community camps, the works! So if you see Daniel walking around the boundary lines in his blue photographers vest, be sure to say hello. We'll also be taking a few bookings this year for portraits, in the hope that this may lead to more work down the track. One last thing, DWP has plans in the pipeline for something big, so make sure you stay tuned! |
